Dr. Amr Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed is a resident of the world as his education reflects. Born in Saudi Arabia, he immigrated with his family to Canada at a young age where he spent his formative years. After acquiring his bachelor’s in dental sciences from Misr International university in Cairo, Egypt, he enrolled in an exchange program with the University of Dresden in Germany to explore a different perspective of oral healthcare. He then returned to Canada and obtained his DMD from the University in Manitoba after which he practiced as a general dentist in Canada for 9 years.

His interest in radiology and technology lead him to complete a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in New York. He additionally obtained a MS in Biomedical Sciences from Stony Brook with his focus on Artificial Intelligence in detecting and characterizing carotid calcifications on CBCT images as a risk factor in cardiovascular disease. His enthusiasm for artificial intelligence persists and continues to be a part of his path forwards.

In his personal life he is an avid sailor and spends his summers exploring the remote waters of the earth. He spends his spare time playing chess and enjoys staying active by swimming and playing squash.
